From 2010 to 2015 we will be spending a record £3.6 billion on upgrading the North West's water and wastewater systems. This massive investment programme will bring major improvements for customers and ensure the region meets the latest environmental targets and drinking water legislation.

Our customers' bills contribute to this investment. Despite the record spend - £400 million more than the last five years - by 2015 the average customer's bill will have fallen by £9 compared to today's prices.*

  • Wastewater treatment works will be upgraded
  • Securing water supplies for the future
  • Improving drinking water quality
  • Improving the environment and reducing carbon

*The average customer's annual bill will fall by £9 (to £364) between 2010 and 2015, calculated before inflation.
