Dunham to Knutsford pipeline

In May 2009 we began working on the new Dunham to Knutsford water pipeline.  A 9.5km plastic pipe that will replace a cast iron one which has come to the end of it's useful life, resulting in cleaner water with less leaks and bursts.  This work will take approximately 12 months.
We have planned the pipeline route in consultation with Cheshire East Council to ensure that we cause as little disruption to residents and commuters as possible.  The work will cause some delays on the A56, but we are going to tunnel underneath the A556 to minimise disruption significantly to one of the UK's busiest roads.
