Colin Davis is United Utilities' Supply Chain Director. He took up the role in 2009, having previously been responsible for the procurement delivery of the AMP5 water programme and XD5 electricity programme.
Colin recently joined United Utilities from E.ON where he was Director of Supply Chain; responsible for Procurement, Logistics and Insurance. Whilst at E.ON he led his team to success; winning the international CIPS Supply Management Award 2007 for People Development, overall winner of the CIPS Supply Management Award 2007 and was the recipient of the Procurecon European Procurement Leader of the Year Award 2007.
Previously Colin worked in a variety of commercial and operational roles at British Gas, Caradon Group, Caudwell Group and Capital One Bank. He has a degree in Physics and an MBA.
On his appointment Colin comments, "The current economic climate presents a great opportunity for United Utilities and its supply chain. Our Supply Chain team have grown in capability over the last few years and I am impressed by what has been achieved to date. However, we can not stand still, we must develop further by engaging in a more meaningful way with our key suppliers to drive innovation, process improvement and mutual gain.
